Abstract

|
Corneal contact lenses are optical appliances, which when applied to cornea. There are situations where they may be useful for greater visual efficiency, but potential hazards are inherent in their use. The visual sense is the most important question is whether a pilot with contact lens could get into a difficult situation during flight. The complications and aeromedical implications of contact lenses are discussed. Continuing objective studies concerning was and means of minimizing or eliminating these complications should be made to keep experienced pilots as possible early.
